Welcome to the Glen Waverley Football & Netball Club!

The Glen Waverley Football Netball Club is a Football and Netball Club in the heart of Glen Waverley in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria and was established in 1973 to pursue an interest in football for a fast-growing area. Our great club fields both Football and Netball teams for both male and female players across all age groups covering Auskick, Juniors and Seniors and we’ve been apart of the Eastern Football Netball League since 2001.

Withdrawal of Glen Waverley - Senior Men's teams

The President and Committee of the Glen Waverley Football Netball Club (GWFNC) have advised the EFNL that we won’t be fielding senior men’s teams in the 2023 season.

Monash Active thought it was time for a autum clean out! and have cancelled our tenancy agreement with one year still to go and offered to put all the club items into storage for the next 12 months. But don't worry, Kellie Millard (check out the Contact Us section) is now the guardian of all our cherished club history. Let's hope we can find a new home soon and make even more great memories to add to the collection!

The Committee is intending to reestablish the senior men’s and Junior teams in season 2024/25 and rejoin the competition. A longer lead in time will assist with planning and enable the club more time to rebuild.

Rebuilding for 2024/25

We are excited to announce that the club is currently seeking expressions of interest from community members who are passionate about football and are interested in being a part of the club's journey. Our goal is to re-establish the football club for the 2024/25 season and build a strong, competitive team that can represent our community with pride.

We believe that football is not just a game but a way of life. It brings people together, creates bonds, and helps individuals develop important life skills such as teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship. Our football club will aim to provide a platform for the community to come together and share their love for the sport.

If you are interested in being a part of this exciting project, we encourage you to express your interest by emailing the Club Secretary. We welcome all community members, regardless of their age, gender, or football experience. Whether you are a seasoned player, a beginner, or just someone who loves football, we would love to hear from you!

Expressions of interest will be accepted until the 30th of June, 2023. Following this, we will be holding an information session where we will discuss the club's vision, goals, and plans for the upcoming season. We will also be available to answer any questions you may have.
